A scarce early edition of Alice Duer Miller and Robert Milton's comedy play, illustrated throughout with stills from the production. An early edition of this work, which is scarce in all contemporary editions. This comedy revolves around a handsome young automobile salesman who unexpectedly inherits a girls' boarding school and decides to run it using his own unconventional theories on life and charm. Illustrated with six photographic plates offering stills of the staged production of this work. Collated, complete. Bookseller's label to front wrap, and stamp to title page head. From the library of Clive Hirschhorn, theatre critic at the Sunday Express from 1966 to 1995, and a noted book collector of 20th century authors, with his collection including all the major works of Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Steinbeck and others. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, excellent, with bookseller's label to front wrap tail. Internally, firmly bound. Minor tear to title page which is a touch tender, with stamp to leaf tail. Pages otherwise lightly age toned due to paper type, but generally clean and bright. Very Good.…
