She's flunking chemistry. He's the tutor with a five-year plan and zero room in it for her, until she becomes the one thing he can't plan around.
Kate Westfield has her future mapped out. Graduate nursing school. Return to her small town on the coast of Maine. Make her family proud. There's just one problem: she's failing chemistry, and her carefully built plan is falling apart.
Alex Chen is a brilliant pharmacy student with steady hands and an even steadier GPA. What starts as tutoring sessions over terrible coffee becomes something neither of them planned for.
As Kate struggles with formulas and lab reports, she discovers the real chemistry isn't happening in the classroom. Walking away from nursing means disappointing her family. Admitting her feelings for Alex means risking the friendship that has become her anchor. And Alex has his own future to navigate, shaped by family expectations and the weight of being a first-generation college student.
Set against Boston's Northeastern University and the small town of Waverly Cove, Maine, Changing Course is a slow burn romance about finding the courage to rewrite your story, even when it means disappointing the people you love most.
A standalone prequel to Uncharted Waters. Perfect for readers who love slow burn college romance, cross-cultural love stories, and second chances at first dreams.
