30 多年後,有幸在美國結識邱女士,更欽佩她作為知名大律師、名作家、知名媒體人所取得的的輝煌成就,特別是她至今仍筆耕不輟,以高度的人文情懷為全球華人女性鼓與呼,更是至為感動。

得知邱彰女士將為我的愛徒--1992 年巴賽隆納奧運會游泳冠軍林莉作傳, 且有意囑我代撰一篇序,雖然深感惶恐,但又覺責無旁貸、義不容辭。

初見林莉,她當時參加了省隊的集訓後,沒有被錄取,有如密林中的茉莉,毫不起眼:11 歲的她身高 140 公分,又瘦又小,幾乎是淹沒在一池碧水中。我那時候是隊伍裡資歷最淺的年輕教練,挑無可挑、選無可選,「同是天涯淪落人」,沒啥說的,就她了。也許就是這種冥冥之中的感覺和相似命運境遇, 成就了我們這對師徒的緣分,我們就如胡適之先生說的,「做了過河卒子,只有拼命向前」,一路向前,林莉拿下了全國冠軍、全運會冠軍、亞洲冠軍,最終成為江蘇游泳第一個世界冠軍、第一個奧運冠軍、第一個在奧運會上奪冠並破世界紀錄的中國人,如林中茉莉,終吐芬芳。

回顧林莉的成長歷程,如果要用一個關鍵詞去概括,我感覺就是-「簡單」。做運動員時,她很簡單,就是跟著我訓練,再苦再累,心無雜念,毫無怨言, 一路衝頂。當然,她領悟性極強,動作協調性很好,高強度訓練中技術動作不變形,極限體能消耗後衝刺能力超常。長大退役後,仍然很簡單,簡簡單單地做人,簡簡單單地生活,簡簡單單地做一個妻子、母親。現在做教練,樸實無華,兢兢業業,充滿愛心,得到了眾多學游泳小朋友和家長的贊譽,成績斐然。

然而,她又確實讓我感到不簡單,因為林莉就像一個多稜鏡,可以折射出五色的光,並時時給人以驚喜。比如,林莉的方向感極好,當年我帶著她們在全世界五大洲參加比賽,無論到哪裡,都不需要嚮導,因為林莉就是一個人形 GPS,多麼複雜的道路和方向都難不倒她;又比如,林莉的韻律感極強,和別人一起配合跳舞,她可以默契到「如影隨形」的程度;再如,林莉的音准很好, 唱歌幾乎一學就會、而且很有韻味。

其實,她最最讓我感到不簡單的,不是她的運動天賦、體育精神,也不是她的才藝、特長,而是她的人生態度。在她剛剛邁上體育競技徵程時,我對她說,「你要能吃別人吃不了的苦,才能登上別人上不了的高峰。」她做到了; 等她功成名就時,我又跟她閒聊說,「咱們都從普通人中來,輝煌過後、燈火闌珊,還要回到普通人中去。」她又做到了。這一點,我為她自豪。知之而能踐之,真的不簡單!

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Information regarding the right of withdrawal

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Rarewaves.com USA, London, London, United Kingdom, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
