nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Championing change for global marginalized librarians reveals the inequalities that shape access, representation, and professional development within the library and information field. Across regions, many librarians face socioeconomic disparity, limited resources, cultural bias, and systemic exclusion from global networks. Addressing these challenges requires a commitment to equity, collaboration, and advocacy for underrepresented voices, and the usage of diverse forms of knowledge and practice. Empowering marginalized librarians strengthens inclusivity and enhances the global exchange of ideas, ensuring libraries continue serving as spaces for learning, community, and social justice. Championing Change for Global Marginalized Librarians examines the systemic inequalities and structural barriers that affect librarians from marginalized communities. It explores strategies for empowerment, inclusion, and advocacy that promote equity, representation, and global collaboration within the library profession. This book covers topics such as gender studies, marginalization, and public libraries, and is a useful resource for educators, sociologists, policymakers, academicians, researchers, and scientists.…
