Paperback. SOME PEOPLE LEAVE FOOTPRINTS.OTHERS LEAVE CHALK OUTLINES.Devin Carter has a gift for leaving before anyone gets too close. Fresh out of the Navy and building a new life in Atlanta, he's charming, quick-witted, and convinced that love is nothing more than a temporary distraction. One night. One woman. One more chalk outline left behind. That's the rule. - No promises. No regrets. At least that's what he keeps telling himself.Behind the jokes, the swagger, and the revolving door of beautiful women is a man still haunted by the loss of his mother, a love he never stopped chasing, and the fear that opening his heart means losing another piece of himself. As old friends keep him grounded, new relationships threaten his carefully constructed world, and memories refuse to stay buried, Devin discovers that every woman leaves something behind-a lesson, a scar, a laugh, a regret. Some outlines fade. Others become impossible to erase."FUNNY. SENSUAL. HONEST. UNAPOLOGETICALLY REAL."A powerful story about love, friendship, grief, and the invisible marks people leave on our lives long after they've gone.Sometimes the hardest person to walk away from is the one staring back at you in the mirror.DEREK CHAVEZ COOK This item is printed on demand.
