This work covers a variety of topics including the history and development of mankind, the influence of stars, music, religious rites and ceremonies, astronomy, Greek philosophy, and mathematics. This work includes axioms of Euclid s Elements, as well as definitions of geometric terms. Perhaps, though, the most important section deals with some of the earliest known information on Roman metrics. This 18th-century edition of Censorinus features the commentary of Heinrich Lindenbrog.
