Part of the Behind the Seams series, The Catcher is an in-depth exploration into the most demanding position in baseball. Interviews by author Rob Trucks of more than fifty major-league catchers, past and present -- including Yogi Berra, Lance Parrish, Charles Johnson, and Mike Lieberthal -- give a never-before-seen glimpse into life behind the mask. They share the techniques they mastered to become great catchers, their most memorable plays, and what it feels like to catch a no-hitter or a knuckleball.
