A second edition of the Catalogue of the Works in Linnaeus. Carl Linnaeus (1707 1778), also known after his ennoblement as Carl von Linne, was a Swedish botanist, physician, and zoologist, who laid the foundations for the modern biological naming scheme of binomial nomenclature. He is known as the father of modern taxonomy, and is also considered one of the fathers of modern ecology. With seven illustrations throughout. In a green cloth amorial binding with gilt lettering to spine. Externally very smart, with minor wear to the head and tail of spine. Internally firmly bound with very bright and clean pages throughout, save for minor browning to the extremities. Very Good Indeed.
