From the Author
I love Lilian Jackson Braun’s "The Cat Who..." books! Every time I reread them, I enjoy them just as much as I did the first time. The idea for a "Companion" book came to me one day as I was rereading the books. I realized that Mrs. Cobb had appeared in a previous book, but I wasn’t sure exactly which one. "Someone needs to write a companion book," I muttered. Then I thought, "Maybe I could do that!" The "Companion" has a chapter on Koko and Yum Yum and their catly behavior, Qwilleran and his career, an alphabetical list of characters, a list of geographical locations, a summary of the crimes and clues, a guide to dining in Moose County (and Down Below and the Potato Mountains), a guide to Qwill’s Gracious Abodes, and an exclusive interview with Lilian Jackson Braun. (It also has a map of Moose County, drawn by Koko.) One of the highlights of working on the "Companion" was meeting the author. She’s a delightful "Lady Who..." shares wonderful stories about the residents of Moose County, 400 miles north of everywhere. I had fun putting together "The Cat Who... Companion," and I hope you will enjoy it as a reminder of the 20 books about Qwilleran, Koko, and Yum Yum (plus her book of short stories, "The Cat Who Had 14 Tales").
