Cases Workbook for the MRCGP, 4th Edition has been extensively revised for the new SCA exam. All cases are fully updated for both telephone and video consultation practice.
109 SCA Cases – more than any other resource!
Now in full colour and available in two formats:
- Hardback (ring-bound) edition (ISBN 9781914961571) – pages presented in a bespoke binder. The most convenient format.
- Loose-leaf pages (ISBN 9781914961441) – designed for your own ring binder. The most cost-effective option.
This workbook is designed for GP revision groups preparing for the SCA and features over 100 cases mapped to the new RCGP Blueprint and the updated curriculum.
- Loose-leaf design allows exam-style practice: each group member can act as ‘doctor’, ‘patient’, or ‘observer’, using only the pages they need.
- Includes easy-to-use marking schemes for every case, with smartphone links to useful resources.
Additional revision support:
- Possible cases – the most likely topics to appear in the exam, including emergency and special cases.
- Revision notes – fully updated with the latest NICE and SIGN guidelines, plus further references and websites.
- Patient materials – resources you can direct patients towards during consultations (and in practice after the exam).
- Practice explanations – essential topics, tests, and procedures you should be able to describe quickly.
- Practice examinations – key clinical skills you should be able to perform confidently as a GP.
Award-winning previous edition:
- Winner of the BMA Young Author Prize
- Highly Commended in the BMA General Practice category
Cases Workbook for the MRCGP is also invaluable for preparing for international examinations, including:
- Simulated Surgery for the International GP Recruitment (IGPR) Scheme, GP Induction Scheme and GP Returner Scheme
- OSCE for the RACGP Fellowship Exam
- GPEP1 Clinical Examination for the RNZCGP
