Print on Demand. This book examines cases of multiple births in animals that typically give birth to only one offspring at a time, using these instances to shed light on several related biological mysteries. Such occurrences present unique research opportunities to study the physiological mechanisms of reproduction, the determination of sex, the development of secondary sexual characteristics, and the inheritance of inherited traits. The author presents a detailed description of a set of triplets born to a cow with an unusually high rate of multiple births, analyzing their growth, color patterns, and subsequent sexual behavior. This case study and others like it provide valuable insights into the complex mechanisms that govern these aspects of biology, contributing to a deeper understanding of the processes that shape life. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
