Carolina Wicks has a talent for magic. Unfortunately, that talent mostly expresses itself as explosions.
As a Wild Spellcraft student at Eldermire Academy for Magical Youths, sixteen-year-old Carol has a gift for turning bad situations into spectacular disasters — and spectacular disasters into somehow even worse ones. Her math teacher has been a llama for three weeks. Her eyebrows once spent a day on the back of her head. And her rival, the impossibly precise Lilith Glass, is keeping a running count of how many times Carol nearly gets expelled.
But when a magical mayhem bigger than anything Carol has accidentally caused begins threatening the academy, it turns out that unpredictable, chaotic, flair-filled Wild Spellcraft might be exactly what’s needed to stop it.
Probably. Carol is almost completely sure.
Caroline vs Magical Mayhem is a hilarious, heartfelt middle-grade fantasy for fans of magic gone wrong, found family, and heroines who absolutely meant to do that.
