In 1801 the possessions of the Carnatic came into the possession of the British by a treaty, the British were to provide and support the civil and military forces and collectors of revenue in exchange for an annual revenue to the nawab. The author of this pamphlet objects to the British dethronement of Prince Ally Hussein, "the lawful Sovereign of the Carnatic and the placing of Azzem ul Dowla in his stead, [it] was an act of arbitrary power and flagrant injustice" and documents why he believes this.
