I Capuleti Ed I Montecchi O Sia Giulietta E Romeo. This item is unavailable.I Capuleti Ed I Montecchi O Sia Giulietta E Romeo

I Capuleti e i Montecchi is an Italian opera (Tragedia lirica) in two acts by Vincenzo Bellini. Felice Romani wrote the Italian libretto after Luigi Scevola's play Giulietta e Romeo, itself based on the story of Romeo and Juliet. It was first performed at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice on 11 March 1830.

Bellini's opera adapts the familiar Shakespearean narrative into a passionate bel canto drama. The libretto focuses on the political dimensions of the feud between the Capuleti and Montecchi families and the tragic love between Giulietta and Romeo, emphasizing themes of family loyalty, sacrifice, and the destructive power of vengeance. This edition offers a valuable resource for scholars, performers, and enthusiasts of Italian opera, presenting the original Italian text in a format accessible to modern readers.
