Dj wornBarton Silverman, the legendary New York Times photographer, has made his rep utation by capturing the critical moment, the very peak of action in sports comp etitions, from the 1960s to the 1990s - from the days of Gordie Howe in the old Madison Square Garden to the onslaught of the Shaq Attack. Capturing the Moment presents a stunning panorama of athletic competition in all its variety and flav or. For spectators and athletes, Barton Silverman's photographs, in rich black-a nd-white and lavish color, are brilliant reminders of the glory days - storied a nd obscure, past and present - of competition and play, and the pure passion of sport.
