Paperback. The exhibition Creating Eternity in Ancient Egyptian Art in the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest presents a representative selection of ancient Egyptian sculptures, stelae, reliefs, murals, and other works of art, while also offering a glimpse into the creative process itself. To evoke eternity, the ancient Egyptians called upon the ritual and magical power of statues, stelae, reliefs, wall paintings, and other artefacts. Our exhibition presents a representative selection of these works and provides insight into the very process of creation, invoking the makers of these artefacts. The artists were esteemed members of ancient Egyptian society, fulfilling commissions for the king, temples, and the aristocracy. We illustrate their activities and workflows through contemporary Egyptian pictorial representations, as well as through unfinished works that reveal traces of their processes, thereby testifying to the phases of creation. Creating Eternity from the Museum of Fine Arts, presents a selection of ancient Egyptian sculptures, stelae, reliefs, murals, and other works of art, which offer a glimpse into the creative process itself and invoking the makers of these artefacts Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability. …
