But, before his adventure even begins onboard the Skull Ship, he manages to fall madly in love with Lady Rebecca Armstrong, an aristocratic beauty on the tropical island of Jamaica. However, and after learning that she was actually married to the man who had become his sworn and bitter enemy, young Charles (who had changed his name to Sir Charles of Riley, in trying to appear better born than he was) hopes that an adventurous life upon the open sea with a band of Pirate gentlemen will help him to forget that dear lady . . . that is, until he accidently bumps into her again, only a year later, in England. Having last seen her in a very bad way (that is, with lying to, and of stealing from her and her husband), Charles begins to realize that he may have made some terrible mistakes in the recent past, and he begins to wonder if she will ever forgive him! Captain Skull, from the Memoirs of Sir Charles of Riley, is packed with Swashbuckling Adventure, Exciting Swordplay, Breathtaking Tropical Locations, Occasional Lighthearted Comedy, Intense Drama, and Romance! This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.

He sailed to the edge of the world to forget her. Fate brought her right back to him.
To the crew of the legendary Captain Skull, he is Sir Charles of Riley—a daring pirate gentleman of the Caribbean and the Spanish Main. But before the lace, the plumes, and the flashing steel, he was just Charles: a young man who left his heart on the tropical island of Jamaica.
Falling in love with Lady Rebecca Armstrong was his first mistake; discovering she was wed to his greatest enemy was his undoing. Flight was his only option. But a life upon the open sea with a band of thieves cannot wash away the memories of an aristocratic beauty.
One year later, an accidental encounter in England changes everything. Caught in a web of his own lies and thievery, Charles is forced to confront the man he has become. Rebecca sees him now as a rogue and a bandit—but as danger circles, Charles must find a way to earn her forgiveness, or lose his soul to the black flag forever.
Dive into a rich, historical swashbuckler packed with:
