If so, Cape Town Guidebook was written for you.
This guide comes from someone who has lived in Cape Town for years and explored the city on foot, by car, and through long conversations with the fishermen, artisans, and families who shape it. Cape Town offers dramatic coastlines, world-class wine country, rugged mountain trails, and neighbourhood streets full of character. This book covers all of it.
What awaits you inside:
- 50+ places locals visit, secret sunrise hikes, quiet beaches, neighbourhood restaurants, and viewpoints that never hit TripAdvisor, with colour photos for every recommendation
- Clear structure organised by area with colour-coded chapters and a simple layout that works whether you're planning at home or navigating on the ground
- A full chapter of itineraries for any travel length, from a long weekend to two full weeks, helping you avoid common mistakes and build your own trip
- Seasonal timing for whale watching, wildflower blooms, and wine harvest festivals, so you never arrive a week too early or a month too late
- Honest safety tips and practical logistics on getting around, which areas to skip, and how to move through the city with confidence
- QR codes linking directly to booking pages, maps, and extra details when you need them
A trip you'll remember
Picture the first light of morning spilling across the Atlantic from a clifftop trail, the city still asleep below you. Later, you wander through a colourful street where shopkeepers greet you by name after your second visit, then settle into a small restaurant where R80 buys the best meal of your trip. As afternoon fades, you find yourself on a stretch of coastline with no footprints but yours, the kind of beach the guidebooks somehow miss.
Cape Town gets under your skin. The warmth of its people, the collision of mountain and ocean, the slow discovery of a city that reveals itself when you know where to look. Three days or three weeks, first visit or fifth, you'll find a different city through these pages.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
