Success in getting your manuscript published depends on knowing where you are most likely to sell your work, who to approach and how, and where to find professional and financial assistance. In the ever-changing and increasingly competitive world of Canadian publishing, this is not as easy as it might sound. The indispensable tool for keeping up is The Canadian Writer’s Market, acclaimed coast to coast for more than 25 years as the most important reference book for writers, next to a dictionary and thesaurus.
In addition, The Canadian Writer’s Market includes listings for literary agents, awards, competitions, and grants, and offers practical advice on all aspects of manuscript preparation and marketing. It also contains useful background information on the thorny issues of income tax for the freelancer and copyright and libel law.
