Item description from seller

The Campaign: A Poem to his Grace the Duke of Marlborough. By Joseph Addison and appears to be printed by H. Hills in London. C. 1704, 16 pp, 6.25 x 4”, 18mo, paper pamphlet. In as-is condition, with front and back pages detached but included. Pamphlet improperly cut along the bottom, with the last lines of some pages partially cut off. Toning and slight foxing to pages, along with some wear to covers. Slight edge and corner wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A famed pamphlet by Joseph Addison (1672-1719), an English poet, playwright, and political writer. Written to commemorate the 1704 Battle of Blenheim, this work honors John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough (1650-1722). Publication date on this pamphlet cannot be positively determined, but likely published in 1704, when it was first released, or slightly after. An interesting and scarce piece of British poetic and political history. FORN-ABE-MSB-1121-Shelf-591-aj644.
