About this Item

Description:

A very smart and uncommon first edition of this lovely anthology of English verse. The first edition of this uncommon work in the publisher's original cloth binding. An anthology of English verse selected and arranged by R. P. Scott and Katharine T. Wallas. This volume includes poetry by well-known and beloved English poets such as John Milton; Sir Walter Scott, William Wordsworth, Robert Browning, Alfred Lord Tennyson, John Keats, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Robert Burns. Poems are organised by themes such as 'Home' and 'English Countryside'. In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, with some faint stains to the boards and the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot. The front paste down is somewhat abraded, and there is a little offsetting to the paste downs and the free end papers. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 838M5
