The Time Bureau Files: Book Four
Case File: TDG-512D
The world beneath the world has awakened.
Six years after becoming separated from Dr. Kellyn Windstream, Ellendyl Felhart has never stopped searching.
Then the impossible happens.
An ancient forest appears where open grasslands stood only days before. Human settlements vanish beneath colossal trees older than history itself. Convinced that only Kellyn could have wrought such impossible magic, Ellendyl rides west into Aetherholt, the long-lost homeland of the legendary Griffyn Clan.
She is right.
But Kellyn has already uncovered something far more dangerous.
Deep beneath the Stonespire Mountains, a forgotten road descends into a hidden world untouched for more than twenty-one eons. Beyond bronze gates and forests of towering bioluminescent fungi lies a civilization erased from every legend, every history, and every memory.
The Dranari.
They have waited in darkness since before the oldest kingdoms were born.
Now their queen has given a single command.
Awaken the Dark Child.
As ancient alliances are forged above the world, something older is stirring below it. A forgotten race is preparing to reclaim the surface; the Malloch are drawing ever closer to their return, and Kellyn begins to realize that the greatest threat to Vaelthara was never the one history remembered...
...but the one history buried.
