Near Fine: shows only the most minute indications of use: a small, faint smudge at the top edge of the text block and a couple of much smaller, fainter smudges at the fore-edge; just a hint of wear to the heel of the backstrip. The binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Former owner's name inscribed at the front free endpaper. Not quite pristine, but remains very close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo.(8.25 x 5.55 x 1.1 inches). xxiv, 558 pages. Weight: 1 pound, 9.6 ounces. Dark blue cloth over boards with gilt titles at the backstrip. Second Edition (Unalterted reprint) [1981]. First published in 1933. Hardback: Lacks DJ. Second Edition (Unalterted reprint) [1981]. First published in 1933.
