nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - ''From Cadet to Captain'' is a memoir written by J. Percy Groves, originally published in 1883. The book chronicles the author's experiences as a cadet at the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich, where he trained to become an officer in the British Army. Groves provides detailed accounts of his training, including his struggles with mathematics and his experiences on the drill field. He also recounts his experiences as a young officer, including his first assignment in India and his participation in the Afghan War. Throughout the book, Groves offers insights into the workings of the British Army and the challenges faced by those who serve in it. ''From Cadet to Captain'' is a fascinating glimpse into the life of a young officer in the late 19th century, and provides valuable historical context for those interested in military history or the British Empire. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.…
