About the Author: Aileen is an experienced arts/crafts tutor in a number of mediums and subject matter. As a writer she holds a certificate from the Australian College of Journalism. She has been a regular contributor to Craft Monthly (while in publication) her portraits have been hung in the Portia Geach; and has appeared in a number of magazine publications plus guest appearances on TV pertaining to her art. A number of VIP have been among her subjects for Portraits and she has been a recipient of some awards including an International award for Portraits on Porcelain. Aileen receives commissions and sales of her art/craft of various mediums. Her demonstration/workshops include the Gosford Art Centre, N.S.W. Sydney Art Expo, Norman Lindsay Gallery and Museum, WEA Northern Beaches, N.S.W, Queensland Centres and Art Lovers Movement Cooranbong N.S.W. Aileen’s floral paintings have been showcased by Queensland Wildflower/Wildlife Society and she has tutored online art/craft seminars at suite101.com for some years. She is honoured that the “Aileen McLeod Art Award” is an annual event at the school where she taught.
