Miller was aided by ten others in producing this massive work. The preface states the editors' threefold purpose: 1) To provide a single source in which students of American minorities may find ample English language materials to facilitate their research; 2) To provide such materials in a format that makes readily possible the crossing of disciplinary boundaries; 3) To encourage students of one minority or one group of minorities to take a broader, perhaps comparative, approach. The 29,300 entries encompass just about every ethnic group one can imagine and what their American experience has been. A large, heavy set that will require additional shipping charges.
