Third edition, complete in three volumes. Pott 8vo (165 mm); [cxxxiv], 496; [ii], 490; [ii], 432 pp. Six plates in total including frontispieces. Full comtemp. calf bindings with ornate gilt decoration on spine, raised bands, gilt lettering. Spines well rubbed with red stains, possibly wax, towards tops, spines somewhat cracked in places with cord ties holding firm. Titles printed in red and black. Ex.libris Thomas Wilkinson, with his copper plate hand written inscription to front endpapers in each vol, dated April 1705. A mellow and attractive set, not without wear,but pleasingly authentic. Includes the following six Terence plays: Andria (The Girl from Andros) (166 BC); Phormio (161 BC); Heauton Timorumenos (The Self-Tormentor) (163 BC); Hecyra (The Mother-in-Law) (165 BC); Eunuchus (161 BC); Adelphoe (The Brothers) (160 BC).
