Collection of 15 original items of painted artwork, plus 4 photocopied pieces incorporating experimental drawing. Largest dimension 380mm x 330mm (mount.) The majority of pieces are mounted on ivory card, some with window mounts. Colourful abstract themes, drawn with energy; artist unknown: all works appear to be experimental and influenced by pattern. Possibly the work of a student. There are darker themes with faces and figures appearing through applied layers of hatching. Printed label on reverse of one mounted work: Whitworth Art Gallery, University of Manchester. Several works are dated 2014 and 2015. A difficult-to-read initialled signature in the bottom right corner of several works, with handwritten titles verso such as 'Chain Male'; with one ink scribbled sketch titled 'Descending the mineshaft'. One pencil signature, possibly 'D, Greyman 2015' or similar.further research may prove rewarding. Very good.
