Item description from seller

1111p. SCARCE ANTEBELLUM MISSISSIPPI IMPRINT. A hardcover book bound in full brown leather. The entire spine is reinforced with clear tape, covering cracks where the boards were detaching. The boards have lots of scuff marks, and smudges of ink and age-related discoloration. Spotty stains on foredges. All pages heavily foxed and browned with age. Occasional small tears on the edges of some pages, not affecting the readability of the text. Binding is secure enough for normal handling. A very scarce, pre-Civil War imprint from Mississippi.
