Add to basketClinical Textbook of Foot and Ankle Radiology is a comprehensive, evidence-based imaging reference designed for radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, emergency physicians, sports medicine specialists, podiatrists, residents, and advanced trainees who require precise diagnostic interpretation of foot and ankle conditions.
This authoritative textbook provides a systematic, image-driven approach to the full spectrum of foot and ankle pathology, combining clinical relevance with modern radiological techniques. It is structured to support both day-to-day clinical decision-making and advanced academic learning in musculoskeletal imaging.
Beginning with foundational principles of foot and ankle radiology, the book progresses through a complete diagnostic framework covering trauma, degenerative disease, infection, tumors, congenital abnormalities, and vascular conditions. Each chapter emphasizes imaging correlation, differential diagnosis, and clinically actionable interpretation.
Key trauma sections include ankle fractures, calcaneal fractures, Lisfranc injuries, ligamentous disruptions, tendon injuries, and osteochondral lesions of the talus—conditions frequently encountered in emergency and orthopedic practice. Special focus is given to stress injuries, marrow edema patterns, and subtle radiographic signs that are often missed in early diagnosis.
Advanced diagnostic topics include plantar fasciitis and chronic heel pain syndromes, nerve entrapment conditions, osteonecrosis, vasculopathy, and complex inflammatory arthritis affecting the foot and ankle joints. The textbook also provides in-depth coverage of infectious processes, tumor-like lesions, and primary bone tumors, supporting accurate differentiation between benign and malignant entities.
Modern imaging advances are thoroughly addressed, including weight-bearing CT, MRI optimization, and evolving radiological technologies that enhance diagnostic precision. Dedicated chapters on interventional radiology and structured radiology reporting ensure that readers gain both interpretive and procedural insight aligned with current clinical practice standards.
Designed for clarity, precision, and clinical utility, this textbook bridges the gap between imaging findings and patient management decisions. It enables practitioners to confidently interpret complex foot and ankle pathology while improving diagnostic accuracy and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
Whether used as a daily reference in clinical practice or as a structured learning resource for examinations and specialization, Clinical Textbook of Foot and Ankle Radiology delivers a complete, modern, and clinically relevant guide to musculoskeletal imaging of the lower extremity.
