Meat & Plant Based - Reduced Calorie - Simple Cooking
Sixty-five of the world’s most popular dishes, both meat and plant-based, with each recipe hacked to lower the carbon footprint, reduce the calorie count, and provide a better balance of nutrients with no compromise on taste.
The World's Best Recipes - For a Low-Carbon Future
Mouth-watering recipes include sumptuous sharing plates and hearty soups to summer salads, winter warmers, comfort food classics, soul bowls, and all your favorite fake-aways.
Hot Kitchen - Cool Planet
Our recipes have, on average, a 75% lower carbon footprint, 20% fewer calories, and 40% less fat with the same serving size and amazing taste. Cook each of the 65 recipes in this book once (instead of the traditional recipes) and you will avoid half a tonne of green-house gas emissions.
Good For You - Good For The Planet
All of the recipes come with data on the carbon footprint, calorie count, nutritional labelling and a breakdown of protein, fat, & carbohydrates. Each of our "hacked" recipes is compared to the original recipe to help you understand the big impact just a few small changes can make. Supporting better food choices for you and for the planet.
Climate Kitchen Hacks
As you make your way through the book you will learn to cook the Climate Change Kitchen way, with advice and guidance on how to:
- Turbo-charge plant-based content with no compromise on taste,
- Select the lowest carbon footprint types (and cuts) of meat,
- Choose the most sustainable seafood,
