Item description from seller
336p; 24p ads in back. A hardcover book bound in burgundy-red cloth. Good condition overall. The back edge of the spine is heavily worn, but the hinge is not cracked; other edges are also visibly worn. Circular stain on front cover and spine text rubbing off. A Page signature has sprung, and all pages are foxed. Text otherwise unmarked. Much-worn but still sturdy and readable. Haggard's novel inspired the 1917 Fox film (extant only in fragments) starring the legendary screen vamp Theda Bara.
