Item description from seller

- Quarto [12 inches high by 9 inches wide], printed self-wraps. Pages [1]-8. Black-and-white illustrations. There is some very light creasing to the pages with a horizontal crease to each leaf where the newsletter has been folded. Very good. The stated purpose of the Early American Industries Association is "to encourage the study and better understanding of early American industry, in the home, in the shop, on the farm, and on the sea, and especially to discover, identify, classify, preserve and exhibit obsolete tools, implements, utensils, instruments, vehicles, appliances and mechanical devices used by American craftsmen, farmers, housewives, mariners, professional men and other workers". Among the contents of this issue of the association's newsletter are articles on wood turning and the lathe, hair tongs, the tanner and the currier, wool cards, and farm implements of 1803 [continued from the previous issue].
