Printed by: 'Strahan and Preston, Printers-Street, London' as stated on recto of title-page. ***Good in buff-coloured boards with dark brown cloth-covered spine. Gilt titles to dark brown label to spine. Edges of boards rubbed. Corners of boards rubbed and slightly bumped. Head and tail of spine rubbed. Head and tail of spine has small split to outer cloth covering. Front and rear pastedowns are partially removed. Lower edge of front free endpaper split from spine. 332 pages. 196mm x 120mm. ***Hannah More (1745 - 1833) was an English religious writer and philanthropist. She was a poet and playwright in the circle of Johnson, Reynolds and Garrick, and a prolific writer on moral and religious subjects.
