Second printing (as stated upon copyright page; first published 1972). xxvi, 1845 pages. Hardcover: H 25.5cm x L 17.5cm. Dust jacket rubbed; 5.5cm deep chipping at spine heel; other lesser chips, tears, and creasing at edges and folds with tape repairs; toning/foxing to white rear panel and flaps; staining at bottom of front flap with publisher's printed price still present at top left; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Gray cloth with gilt and blue stamping to spine. Text block's top edge foxed with soiling to bottom edge. Past owner's ink signature on front free endpaper; wrinkling to lower fore-edge margins of half-title and title leaves; interior pages overall remain clean. Binding is firm. A very good+ copy in only a good dust jacket.
