First Edition, Tall 8vo. 6.25 x 9.75 Inches. [12] + 247 + (4) pp. with photo illustrations throughout. Bound in full morocco gilt, with the alms of the town on the upper board in gilt, a little worn on extremities but a very good copy. A good example of this scarce history, the subscribers list printed at the rear of the volume accounts for 230 copies it it likely only a few more than this number were printed. The work is scarce. Founded by Patrick Marrin's father George in 1946, Marrin's Bookshop has been based in its current Folkestone location since 1963. Patrick has worked in bookselling since 1970. As well as rare antiquarian books, maps and prints, the stock includes a wide range of literature, library sets, travel, history and illustrated books in all fields. We also offer a bookbinding and restoration service. Visitors to the shop are welcome and we exhibit at UK book fairs.
