About this Item

This is a 10 volume set of 1876 encyclopedias bound in leather. 10.25 X 7.25". Marbled edges and endpapers. The leather bindings are scuffed and most volumes are starting to crack along the exterior hinges where the leather is drying out. Volume 6 is the worst, just hanging on to its front cover. All are still intact, however. These volumes have very nice engraved plates as well as in-text illustrations. There are also some splendid 2 page colored maps mounted on binder's hinges so they can easily be removed, if desired. GOOD MINUS. Seller Inventory # S011
