In the city of Dragonfang, where assassins move like ghosts through tunnels beneath the streets, a boy named Chadas survives a violent childhood to become apprenticed to the Guild of Masima — a secret brotherhood tracing its bloodline to a murdered lord whose descendants have waited generations for their moment to rise.
Under the mentorship of Old Tom, Chadas masters the arts of poison, blade, and invisibility. But the Guild's most dangerous secret is not its knives — it is the knowledge that the city above them belongs to the children of Masima by right, and that the time to claim it is coming.
As Chadas rises from apprentice to assassin to the most powerful figure in Dragonfang, an ancestral spirit named Rata reaches across the boundary between the living world and the next, convinced that he alone can fulfill a destiny written before the city's first stone was laid.
But destiny has never asked permission or behaves as hoped.
From the narrow lanes of a city built on injustice to the ice fields at the top of the world, from the tunnels of a shadow guild to the gates of the spirit realm itself — CHADAS: ASSASSIN LORD is an epic fantasy of loyalty, power, grief, and the terrible cost of becoming exactly who you were meant to be.
