She traded her glass tower for a wooden mop to find genuine love. But when her billionaire reality collides with her rustic escape, can their foundation survive the storm?
At twenty-eight, Emma Larsen possesses unimaginable wealth and dominance control over Europe's most formidable shipping conglomerate. Yet, from her penthouse in Copenhagen, she has never felt more hollow. Surrounded by high-society handlers like Luna and Emily, and relentlessly pursued by calculating aristocrats, Emma realizes no one values her for who she truly is-they only see her massive bank account.
Desperate for an escape, Emma enlists the help of her trusted advisor, Holger, to orchestrate a complete disappearance. Leaving behind her platinum cards and designer suits, she adopts a fake identity and takes a job as a live-in maid at a crumbling, historic manor owned by the grumpy but loyal Vilhelm.
Emma is an absolutely dreadful maid, but she quickly finds herself drawn to Alfred, Vilhelm's nephew. Alfred is a rugged, fiercely honest carpenter hired to restore the decaying estate. He deals only in tangible realities-solid timber, hard work, and the clumsy, deeply intelligent woman who brings him coffee and captures his heart. For the first time in her life, Emma is seen, challenged, and loved unconditionally.
But a foundation built on hidden truths is fragile. When a corporate emergency and a vicious sabotage campaign launched by a corrupt Duke threaten to destroy Larsen Enterprises, Emma is forced to return to the city and reveal her true identity to the man she loves.
Now, Emma must wield her ruthless corporate power to protect Alfred and his family's estate from total ruin. As fierce winter storms and high-society scandals threaten to tear them apart, the billionaire and the carpenter must fight to bridge the massive gap between the glass penthouse and the rustic fjords.
About the Author: Wilma Asva
Wilma Asva is a passionate storyteller who believes the most compelling romances are found in the contrasts-between freezing cities and warm hearths, immense wealth and humble beginnings, and the masks we wear versus the truths we hide.
Drawing inspiration from breathtaking landscapes and the quiet resilience of everyday people, Wilma crafts emotional, character-driven narratives that explore the depths of trust, sacrifice, and vulnerability. She has a particular fondness for heroes who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and heroines who fiercely defend the people and places they love.
When she isn't weaving tales of secret billionaires and bustling neighborhood bakeries, Wilma can usually be found hunting for hidden treasures in local antique shops, attempting to perfect her own cardamom pastry recipe, or wrapped in a thick knit sweater with a cup of overly strong dark roast coffee.
The Grain of Truth: A Billionaire's Secret, is her latest romantic drama.
