Undated but 1930 -32. Demy 8vo, c.8.5 x 5.5 inches, pp.frontis + x + 374 + 62 b & w plates, hardback in dustwrapper. Book condition - Very Good ; contents clean, prev. owner's ink inscription ( "R W Moxton " ) on half-title, flyleaves front and back half-tanned from offsetting, some foxing of preliminaries and light foxing scattered throughout text, inner hinges intact and binding sound ; original light-blue cloth with title in black on spine, corners lightly rubbed, back very clean, spine complete with light rubbing and creasing at spine ends, spine colour somewhat sunned but title remains complete and bright, front clean with one small pale mark near hinge . Dustwrapper - Good plus ; dustwrapper shows small illustrations of ships in grey and black on front and spine with title in red on front and outline title on spine ; some corner wear, back a bit dusty but no marks as such and with some creasing and nicks along top edge, spine complete with spine ends rubbed/creased/nicked , spine shows some fading but title and illustrations remain clear, front is clean with clear titling , top edge creased with a couple of small closed tears and one larger one, about 4 cm, but not that visible, not price-clipped (6/- net) ; dw now in paper-backed, clear and removable wrapper. The contents consist of ten chapters, each dealing with a decade, plus an index, covering a great number of ships and shipping companies including, of course, the White Star line and the Titanic.
