Reddish-brown cloth spine with gilt lettering; marbled paper boards with reddish-brown cloth corners; some scuffing at edges; small surface abrasion at upper spine. Some toning and small stains to speckled text block edges. Irish bindery ticket "Bound at St. Patrick's Reformatory School, Upton, Co. Cork." on front pastedown. Strong toning to ffep recto and rfep verso with lighter toning to opposing pastedowns; St. Patrick's Reformatory School ink stamps on title page and at page vii's top right - other stamps eluded discovery upon a cursory perusal but might be present - interior leaves are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Various advertisements in unpaged seventy-five page penultimate section followed by concluding seventy-five page publisher catalog ("1885.
