Original pictorial cloth, top edge gilt, approximately 4 ½ x 7 inches, index, xxiv + 368 pp, illustrated with engraved frontispiece by F. T. Merrill (Frank T Merrill). Hardcover, good. Drop marks and soil on sloth, spine tanned. Internally, first free front endpaper torn out (starts with frontispiece and ends with free rear endpaper) , front hinge cracked, shaken, upper corners of first few leaves creased, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked.
