We, the Vargas Ram�rez family, come from a faraway place north of Tenochtitlan called Iztapalapa, Land of Clay Upon Water. A land surrounded by cars and dry grass; a place where the pieces of our small world were scattered. For some time we lived there, but then one day my father heard a beautiful birdsong that rose up and appeared to say tihui, tihui, tihui: let's go, let's go, let's go. And so we gathered up our friends who made up that small world and decided to head north, for the other side, and a better life.

Together the Boy and his family will journey from the Land of the Frogs to The Place Where Feet Cry to the River Where the Waters Tangle, fleeing Gunmen and braving Coyotes and plunging darknesses as black as an obsidian forest. Originally published in Mexico, Pilgrim Codex (C�dice peregrino) captures through the eyes of a child one family's part in the ever-changing and fleeting story of the brave migrant warriors who search for a better place to live.

Vivian Mansour es una escritora mexicana. Estudi� Ciencias de la Comunicaci�n y ha colaborado en distintos medios como radio, televisi�n y revistas. Tambi�n ha trabajado en el �rea creativa para varias agencias de publicidad. Es autora de muchos cuentos para ni�os. Entre los reconocimientos que ha recibido se encuentran el Premio FILIJ de Cuento para Ni�os y el Premio A la Orilla del Viento. Residencia del autor: Ciudad de M�xico

Vivian Mansour is a Mexican writer. She studied communication sciences and has collaborated on different media such as radio, television, and magazines. She has also worked in the creative area for several advertising agencies. She is the author of many short stories for children. Emmanuel Valtierra es un ilustrador tejano-mexicano. Estudi� dise�o gr�fico en la Facultad de Artes Visuales en Monterrey, Nuevo Le�n. Desde 2016, se ha enfocado en crear diferentes proyectos relacionados con la cultura azteca, entre los que destaca Codex Valtierra, que gan� el Premio Sidewise de Historia Alternativa en 2018. A trav�s de su trabajo, tiene la intenci�n de inculcar las culturas prehisp�nicas mexicanas y mostrar sus artes ancestrales a nuevas generaciones. Residencia del ilustrador: San Antonio, Texas

Emmanuel Valtierra is a Texan Mexican illustrator. He studied graphic design at the Visual Arts Faculty in Monterrey, Nuevo Le�n. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to GreatBookPrices, Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
