Hardback, tall 15.5 x 11 inches. Half bound navy blue calf. Gilt to spine and front. Top edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Some handling marks to boards, rubbing to leather on spine and edges, some fading and darkening to cloth. Bookplate to endpaper ?Arturi Conolly Gage Heygate & Francescae Evelyn Rowley.? Binders stamp to corner of endpaper. Some creased tissue guards, one or two minor foxing spots. Else inside pages all very clean and tight. Else a very good clean and tight copy. Illustrated with 47 B&W plates. Each with page of descriptive text. All tissue guarded. Unpaginated.
