About the Author

Ian Marcous? spent 6 years in advertising before switching into teaching. For many years he ran parallel careers as teacher and marketing consultant.

Then a successful textbook led to an involvement with the Cambridge exam board, from which he became Chief Examiner for AEB (now AQA) Business Studies A Level. In 1993 Ian came up with the idea of an alphabetical textbook, from which the A-Z Handbook Series developed.

This series from Hodder & Stoughton Educational has become a huge success, spawning overseas versions in America and Russia. In 1999 Ian's latest book Business Studies immediately became an educational bestseller, featuring in Management Today's Top Ten Business sellers. In addition to writing, examining and teaching, Ian edits Business Review magazine, is a consultant to QCA and the BBC Knowledge TV channel and runs his own training and conference business A-Z Business Training.
