viii, 484pp. [2]pp. 12mo, contemporary calf; (spine and front cover worn, first 2 blank leaves, title page, and last 3 leaves chipped in margin, light foxing throughout). Dover; (New-hampshire): Eliphalet Ladd, 1792. "He (Richard Burn) was a justice of the peace for the counties of Westmoreland and Cumberland (in England). It (this work) is the most useful book ever published on the law relating to justices of the peace." Dictionary of National Biography III, p. 377. This printing is the first New Hampshire printing and the second edition printed in America. This printing is complete with 454 pages with the usual misnumbering. Page numerals 180-189, 270-279, and 360-369 were omitted. Evans 24160.
