With his company Burkhardt Leitner constructiv, he has been realising prize-winning modular architecture systems for fifty years and exhibitions, fairs, offices and public spaces are hard to imagine without his work.
On the occasion of his 70th birthday, insights are given here into the way the designer thinks and feels in a series of biographical sketches and essays by friends and business associates from around the world. The book brings Burkhardt Leitner to life as a person, tireless man of action, designer, entrepreneur, committed patron of design and art. But also for the very first time in public – as an artist. With contributions by Klaus Thomas Edelmann, Barbara Friedrich, Rainer Hascher, Hansjerg Maier-Aichen, Michael Peters, Peter Pfeiffer, Urs Schwerzmann, Wilfried Stoll, Kurt Weidemann and many more
