He is a pioneer and expert in objectoriented software engineering. DOUGLAS C. SCHMIDT, PhD is a professor of Computer Science at Washington University and consults for Lucent Technologies. He is a pioneer in the field of telecommunications patterns and frameworks. RALPH E.
