No one likes to think of the worst-case scenario... But if you're unprepared, the 'worst case' could become much worse than you ever imagined...
Only a quarter of US citizens has a go bag ready for an emergency… Yet the number of natural disasters occurring nationwide is on the rise.
We all hope we’ll never need an emergency plan.
But the hard truth is that you need one to keep yourself and your family safe in case the unthinkable happens. As Stephen King famously said, “There’s no harm in hoping for the best as long as you’re prepared for the worst.”
Preparing the emergency bag is crucial – but knowing what to do next if disaster strikes can mean the difference between life and death.
Most advice around bugging out in a disaster situation is focused purely on what’s in that bag… and while it’s crucial to get your kit right, it’s only one piece of the puzzle.
You also need to know where to go… how you’re going to get there…how to sustain yourself throughout the crisis… and how to know it’s time to evacuate in the first place.
The bug-out bag is important, but a bug-out bag without a complete plan behind it is useless.
If you and your family are to be properly prepared for the worst, you need a full plan in place… And you’re about to gain the blueprint for building exactly that.
In this comprehensive guide to bugging out, you’ll find everything you need to keep your family safe if you must evacuate your home.
Inside, you’ll discover:
- How to recognize the signs that evacuation is your best option… and why bugging in is sometimes the better call
- The crucial acronym that will help you assess any situation and know for sure that bugging out is the right course of action
- How to choose the perfect bug-out location for your family (including the #1 mistake most people make when choosing their spot)
- Your guide to building the ultimate bug-out bag – make sure you can carry everything you need to sustain your survival
- Essential skills and training tips to ensure the whole family is prepared for the worst
- Everything you need to know about route planning and transportation in an emergency
- Every secret you need to turn your bug-out spot into a home away from home
- The extra details you need to consider if you’ll be bugging out with your children, elderly relatives, or pets
- How to make your evacuation route into a treasure trove of essential supplies to collect as you make your exit
- All your safety and security questions answered
- Practical activities to prepare your family and equip them with life-saving skills with every chapter
And much more.
We all hope an emergency plan is never needed… but if you don’t have one, you take an unnecessary risk.
If you’re not convinced that your family needs a bug-out plan, all you need to do is look at the rising number of natural disasters creeping up across the world… Wouldn’t you rather be prepared to handle anything?

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
