Some can’t understand why she doesn’t know where she comes from. Others think she’s “not brown enough” to fit in.

But time is running out for Almudena and Xavier to get to know each other, and the key to their connection may ultimately lie in bringing all these different elements together. About the Authors:

Samuel Teer is the author of the Printz Award winner Brownstone and Veda: Assembly Required. Raised outside of St. Louis, Missouri, he lives in Aurora, Colorado.

Mar Julia lives on unceded Piscataway land that makes up Baltimore, Maryland. Previous comics credits include the Lumberjanes and Adventure Time series. The Printz Award winner Brownstone is their debut full-length graphic novel.
